Okay for my american history class we have to make an ABC Book for 3rd graders about american government. And since it's going to be for 3rd graders I was thinking I could put some kind of riddle or puzzle. So I was thinking that the question would be on the table of contents and then every other page could have a clue and in the end they would have the little spaces to fill out, kind of like hangman. So I really need some riddles on american history, preferrably having to do with the like late 1700's/ early 1800's. And also any ideas how could make this riddle thing work, cause I don't really know how....?

But in summary all I REALLY need is a good history riddle...?

Do a little internet research on the Freedom Trail in Boston. Each stop along the trail is an historic event or piece of history relating to the American Revolution. You could build your book and chapters around the Freedom Trail. Each chapter has an answer, and in each answer you save some letters that spell out the final answer to the clue, except that the final letters are jumbled and the kids have to unscramble them to get the answer to the riddle.

e.g. Why did Sam Adams and his friends dress up like Indians ? They were going to a big Tea Party in Boston.
