Help god of war 2 question?

okay so ima at the begging were you have to fight the statue for the second time and he is on the other side of the balcony i guess with a big circle on top of his hand ima suppose to push but there is a big gap and and dont know how to get to the other side ima suppose to grab on to something that is dangling but i dont know what to push to grab on to it if you could plz help i would appreciate it alot thanx
