We've had the tank for about 5 months. It's been doing fine up until maybe 2 or 3 months ago, when it became cloudy. At that point, we had about 18 fish in there, with live plants. We performed weekly partial water changes, but the water would still begin to cloud up after several days.
Now we have removed all of the live plants and replaced with artificial plants, and we also changed some of the gravel. However, the water is still cloudy. If anything, I guess it's a slight green tint, and I know that it means algae, but we do not overfeed the fish or anything.
The filter should be fine, it is the standard filter that came with the aquarium.
