Hi everyone, I am in total termoil at moment, I cancelled my gym membership (12 month) in may and failed to pay the £20 "fine" but then get a letter 2 months later saying I owe them £80 so I pay that off and now they say I havn't cancelled the contract at all as they failed to notify my reason of leaving not good enough reason which is unemployed and say I have to pay £97 plus £20 till december. Thats nearly £200!!!!! On £103 JSA where I have to pay £60 rent and £5 a month for phone contract thats £35 left where I spend around £10-£15 on travel expenses in 2 weeks. I have £10 a week left to myself. I got this contract because I felt I was in a secure job but lost it due to my employers wanting to get rid of me on a minor error on my part that normally gets ignored. I have worked this out that I have paid £20 extra for my cancelled Direct Debit and they tell me two months later that my contract is not cancelled so I have paid them £40 too much in my eyes for there mistake. Can someone help me on this.
