Help finding a sci-fi film...

I'm sure it was set in New Zealand or Australia, and it was about a guy who wakes up after being on the brink of death and finRAB he's the only guy left alive...i think he then finRAB someone else who was also dying and survived...it's something about phase shifts of something...come on digitalspy forummers, you've never let me down yet

wow i forgot about this film seen it on bbc2 on a sunday when they used to show sci-fi about 20 odd years ago.

That's where I saw it too. BBC 2 used to show loaRAB of classic sci-fi. Nearly all of my first viewings of stull like 'When The Earth Stood Still' and 'This Island Earth' were on BBC 2.
