Help finding a children's book?

I have a favorite children's book from when I was about six years old, but I can't remember the title of the book, and I can only remember bits and segments. Can someone help me out?

All I remember is that the book didn't have a title on it. It was black and white, or at least dark colors, and it involved a little girl, possibly a beach, possible spaghetti and meatballs, and no, it's not "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs".

Please help me out?
