I am trying to find some financial help for my son. He is away from home at uni. We are on benefits and have applied for all the necessary funding, but there is a long back log and as off yet my claim is still pending. At this moment I am supporting my son and I have to give up a lot of the benefit money to pay for food and Travel costs and we are living on next to nothing. The uni are not Very helpful and he has already opened a bank account as they advised and got a overdraft which Had to be partly used for a deposit for his accommodation.
I am so proud my son has worked so hard but it is now putting a bad strain on the family as every one is suffering.
Is there any help out there?
