Help! epic phone wifi problem?

I turned on the wifi feature and the laptop was connected to the internet. However, when I opened up internet explorer, it said internet explorer couldn't connect. I diagnosed the problem and it said something about the firewall. I clicked on the blue link n it took me to 2 options turn off firewal [not recomended] and turn on firewall which its already on then a sub option under turn on firewall but I forgot what it said. Plz help!!! If u need more info let me know
