HELP!! E61 (UK Build) Won't update

I downloaded the Nokia Software Update, and it says my E61 is up to date, but I'm still running the older 1.**** Firmware, not the 2.*****.

My 7 digit code is 0538289, I was told it's not supported, then what the hell? can somebody explain exactly what the problem is and how much longer till I'm allowed to update my firmware? Thanks

thank you so much, I joined that Nokia forum to see what's up, and I bought my phone unlocked and paid full for it from Expansys...I really hope I can get this to work or I will be returning it as soon as possible...
 
I just bought an e61 from Expansys, and have a phone that won't update too. Bummer, 'cause there are some bugs that the firmware fixed on my other e61 (which my wife is now using).
 
excellent news everyone, FINALLY was able to get hold of someone at Nokia, the unlocked phones that aren't updating is because they are the newest and latest builds, they were made AFTER the updater software was made, the updater software is expected to be updated with the codes of the newer E61s by the end of this month to mid November
