Help...duplicate message problem...

So, I don't get duplicate messages when sending texts to other phones, but i've been texting a friend in Japan, in which their cell phones use emails for their text messages, and hes not only receiving them very late (not delivering for at least an hour), but he's also getting 50+ copies of each message spammed on him once he does receive the message!

So, I called verizon, and they said they were not sending any duplicates anywhere, so I sent a text to my e-mail myself, and sure enough, after a couple hours i got 50+ messages and it's still sending me them!

So here is my e-mail and my friends e-mail getting spammed with text messages from my phone, and sometimes a random really old text....
Help?!?!
 
I was going to suggest that distance was the problem but if it works on your friend's phone, I guess it's just something wrong with yours. I get duplicate messages sometimes (just one) but that's just to people who live around the same area as me. I don't know why it does that. Maybe you can ask for a phone replacement or see if they can fix your phone?
