Help!! Does bio-oil work for elimating pimple scars? :(

I've been applying bio-oil onto my face for almost 2 weeks to help clear my pimple scars. Thus far I cannot see any improvement as I can still see my scars that I've had from the start that I've been trying to get rid off. Some of the scars may have become a tiny bit lighter though (i think, from my judgement). I've also been getting some pimple outbreaks since applying bio-oil. I'm not sure if this is related to the bio oil as the products website claims that it doesn't cause pimples or whether it could in fact be caused by eating chocolate (i also get pimple outbreaks when eating chocolate), stress (ive been under a bit of stress lately) etc.

From personal experience, has bio-oil worked for them and if so how long would it take to get rid of pimple scars? Does anyone recommend any other product other than bio-oil to help get rid of pimple scars?

I have almost finished my bio-oil product and I'm not too sure whether I should buy a new bottle if it isn't going to work.

By pimple scars you mean flat marks that are red or indented? It won't eliminate indents in 2 weeks, not even in 2 months or 6 months. If they are surface red marks, it may still take 2 months.
 
I don't know anything about bio-oil, but I've been using a product called ScarZone on my scars, and it works great... You can see improvement really quickly.

It's like $10 a tube @ Walgreens, so it's not too expensive either :)

I have discontinued using bio-oil as it has given me a lot of breakouts.

The so called 'scars' that I have might actually be post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I will be making an appointment tomorrow with my dermatologist to discuss what I can do about this.

I'd say that if i did have any scars i'd say that I have a lot of 'the simplest scar is nothing more than a spot of skin bearing a brown, pink or purple colour, testimony to the fact that a pimple had been there.'

Is it most likely that I'll have these visible scars for the rest of my life or could i get some treatment done so that these scars don't appear visible anymore if someone was to look at my face. Thank you.
