There is a book I read about six or seven years ago about a teenage girl looking for her birth mother. I can't remember the title or the main character's name, but I do remember some of the plot.
The book is fiction, the girl knew she was adopted at an early age. I remember the book described her as having long dark hair and kind of exotic looking. She has great parents. Her best friend is a guy. They end up together in the end after some drama. I remember her parents weren't thrilled that she wanted to find her real mom, at first. I believe she was around seventeen or eighteen. She goes to a dance in a green dress, I think. Er...My details are a little sketchy, sorry.
The book is not Lois Lowry's "Find a Stranger say goodbye."
If anyone has an inkling of the book I'm talking about please let me know. It's driving me crazy! Thanks!
