For the last 3 months since moving into our new home my 17 year old brother has not been well. He is constantly feeling nauseus, has no energy and occasionally vomiting at random intervals. He has lost a stone in weight, he is of athletic build. Everyone is commenting on how pale and unwell he looks. He eats a healthy balanced diet with some natural health foods like soya. He stopped drinking milk about 6 months ago and moved onto soya milk. His mood is low and he has very little energy. He plays sport worldwide and has visited china the last 2 summers. On one occassion 2 years ago he became ill whilst in China from the water and vomited for 3-4 days. His face has recently became very shrunken particularly in the jaw line area over the last month. He has had important exams recently also. He has noticed that he feels more ill when in the new house. We have 4 others in the house who feel normal. We have a wind turbine to power the home and now he thinks this is the problem as apparantly they submit a noise frequency that causes health problems. He is visiting a GP next week but in the interim my mother is worried sick. Everyone who sees him comments that he does not look right. He has never really been ill before apart from the common cold.
Any advice on what we can ask the GP on? Any advice much appreciated.

Regards,
Glenn

It could be that the wind turbine is running all the time, if the wind can give it energy all the time. But if the wind turbine stands still or is nearly still and he still feels sick, I think the chances of being the wind turbine that is the problem is less likely. Or if the wind turbine quit spinning and he feel better at the same time, it would be more easy to suspect it's the wind turbine.

I don't have any experiences with wind turbines, but that's how I think. There must be some way to find out if it's the wind turbine or not. If it's related to the wind turbine, it must also be linked to the wind that is causing the turbine to spin. At the same time, I would guess that there is some measure available to check how much power the turbine generates. So the wind, the power from the turbine and a way to measure the noise from the turbine would be my guess to find out. If none of these is linked together with the illness, I personally believe it isn't caused by the turbine.

i really am glad he is seeing his dr about the symptoms he is having. the one BIG thing that just really needs to be done first is a ton of basic bloodwork. checking his liver and kidneys and also everything in his overall body chemistry/metabolics would possibly point his doc in the right direction. getting the labs done would just show or not show certain things that help in finding any types of real Dx when it comes to illness and conditions.

but he is doing the best possible thing in just getting things started by seeing the doc with all the symptoms he just has going on right now. whatever does or does not show to be abnormal or "out of range" with those labs would kind of dictate what, if any other testing just may need to be done on him as well. hopefully the lab work will show something for the doc to go on. i do wish him luck in getting this figured out much sooner vs later. some diagnosises can just take alot of time sometimes. please keep us posted.

personally, tho i don't actually know alot about wind turbines, i just really would seriously doubt there could be any real true connection there, espescially since everyone else there is okay? it would not be my first thought anyways. its just a very 'clean' form of energy, you know what i mean? I'm not sure where you got the info about the wind turbines, but I would say with great certainty, it is not correct. Get to the doc, get bloodwork, go from there. Good luck

Is there new carpeting in your new house? VOC's, volatile organic compounds, like those found in new carpet can cause the symptoms your brother is experiencing.

If you recently had the carpets cleaned -- sometimes the chemicals used can cause these issues. Also there may be mold spores floating in the air. They could be in the walls, ceilings, flooring, etc. Anywhere there's dampness.

Your brother may have breathed them in and they're in the lungs

At this point, I'd move your brother out of the house to a hotel and see if it changes things. OR better yet

I'd be calling 911 and getting him to a hospital without waiting for a doctor's appointment. I'd also ahve a picture of what my brother looked like before all this to show the doctor what a dramatic difference has occurred.

I wouldn't waste any time about this.

Thank you for your replys. He went to the Doctor last monday. They took a blood sample for routine blood checks and have asked for a stool sample. We should hear back next tuesday 1st July on the blood work. I will keep you updated.
With regards to health risks by wind turbines here is a website we found. The symptoms he has do match those described: * link to commercial website, and website information, removed by hb-mod, moderator *
