My parents have a 42" Samsung Plasma and like all HDTVs, the speakers are horrible. Now they don't need surround sound or a surround sound experience; they just want something that they can hear without turning the TV on the max volume everytime. I want to get them a sound bar for Christmas and was hoping someone would help me out. I'm on a under $200 budget and need help deciding between the Sharp HTSB200 (http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-HTSB200-Sound-Audio-System/dp/B001R4CJRU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291156202&sr=8-1) and the Vizio VSB 200 (http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-VSB200-Universal-Sound-Bar/dp/B002EPF6YO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1291156019&sr=1-1). Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Well with the Sharp model, the only type of connections I saw were the A/V (Red/White) and a headphone connection. How would I connect an amp to that?
