Tomorrow I (freshman) have a HUGE debate, the first debate of the year, and the first formal debate I've been in. I had one night to be prepared and I am completely stressed out. They gave us literally no information about the topic. My topic is Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)'s view on a possible Arab - Israeli resolution.
I have researched for an hour now and not only can't find a resolution, but I can't even find anything about their views on the situation. I am inferring that they're probably on the arabs side because 10% of their population are muslims but that is about it. I am desperately in need of help !
I would benefit from anything : previous information you know ; a link ; ANYTHING !
I am pretty much an expert on the actual conflict itself, but I know nothing about DRC.
These are the questions :
1.Â*What should be done to assist Arab and Israeli refugees?
2.Â* What can be done to allow these refugees back to their homes? Or what can be done to give these refugees permanent homes?
3.Â* Does your DRC believe that an Arab/Jewish State can be formed?
4.Â*Â*How do you prevent the violence and oppression that Palestinians and Jews subject each other to?
5.Â*What should be done with the city of Jerusalem seeing as it has religious importance to both Palestinians and Jews?
6.Â*Â*What are your DRC’s opinions about the continued settlement of the West Bank and Gaza Strip by Israelis?
7.Â*What side does DRC support (the Israelis or the Palestinians) and how strongly does you country support that side? Why?
8. Does DRC believe in compromise on this issue or does your country feel that one side should hold complete supremacy over the region?
