I have a Joomla website with a shopping cart, but would like to utilize MySQL to create another databse that onyl i can access where i can store information about individual products. I want to be able to have a single login page (which I can find a tutorial on myself.) But, I want to be able to add and edit items, and view and sort by manufacturer. I know I can do most of this using a form, which I know how to do. But I would like a tutorial where I can learn how to view/edit all the entries, as well as sort them by manufacturer. Can anyone route me to a tutorial that will teach me how to do this?
