Help?!! Cooking food when food got stuck and burnt on the bottom of pot?

Í was cooking using a glassy well see through pot, its kinda brownish and see through, and while I was cooking, it got really hot and the food left these marks or idk what it is, its like brown hard thingy which stuck to the bottom of the pot. I tried scraping it off with a wooden splatula but it didn't work! when I scratch it with my fingernail, the top layer came off a bit, but the bottom layer still stayed! What do I DO??!? PLEASE HELP! Its my mums pot ;(
