We have a program in our area where they take middle-schoolers and put them in a one-year accelerated education course after which you get a high-school diploma and are eligible for college. He really wants to participate, but his dad won't let him for the following reasons: He wants him to go through the whole high-school experience (which he says he will enjoy better), he thinks that he will be deprived of social experience or something by going there, and there are basically twenty or something other adults backing him up (all went to regular high school) saying that he will be better off not going?
He wants some things he can say to his dad so that he will let him apply.
PS: He wanted me to ask this question because he does not have an answers account
