Dear Peter S's Mom and Dad,
Your son has shown a great desire to advance with one of his
great passions of dirt bike riding. Bumps, bruises and broken bones
do happen in dirt bike riding, but they also happen to people who
take up many different sports. I started off small and gradually worked my way up the line in size, and performance and to this day
continue to ride. It was not from riding my dirtbikes that caused me
more bumps and bruises but from life out on the streets where most
stuff happened. Would you rather have your son sitting in front of a
TV playing computer games and eating junk food or allowing him some
freedom to enjoy one of his favorite things to do. There's only a few
more weeks until it begins to get too cold to go out dirtbike riding but
when the weather warms up next season, it sure would be nice to
reconsider this pursuit. Until then, how about taking a trip or two to some indoor motorcross events in the area. It will give better insight
into the love of the sport. You are going to allow him to become whatever he want to be in life right. If you do get into riding, always
remember to invest in some safety equipment along with helping out
a bit with this small investment. It's either this or weeks and months
of driving him back and forth to the movies, the mall, and other hangouts where teens get into all sorts of trouble. By the way,
in a few years he's going to want to drive a car. What are you going to
tell him then ? Your worried he's going to get hurt...
Boy Pete....I hope this helps you and doesn't hurt your chances.
But you said you've already tried many things....
