Help! cant text w/unlocked ATT Tilt

I bought an unlocked Tilt and have Tmobile sim card. I need to know how to change the settings to enable me to text using my Tmobile sim card. I tried to add a new connection for MMS settings but it wont recognize mine and always defaults to the ATT MMS settings. Any ideas?

MMS is not texting. Texting works as soon as you insert the SIM card into a phone with the appropriate frequencies.
