help can I get off of oxycodone by myself 100 mg a day

Hi Maria~~

Well, anything is possible, but I don't think it is a realistic expectation. Certainly, the oxycodone can be stopped, but doing so abruptly is going to send the body and brain into a tailspin and in all honesty, I do not see being out of withdrawal in the timeframe of ten days. To come off such a high dose in such a short period of time, I would suggest rehab where monitoring and aftercare can be provided to you.

Whatever your decision, I am wishing you well. Oxycodone was what I tapered from... 50-60 mgs a day. We can find our lives again after using it. Keep the hope alive.

I agree with Reach. Anything is possible but 100mg a day is a lot of meRAB so it would probably be more successful if you asked your Dr. for a wean/taper program. That is what I did and I am so proud of myself. You can do it. beleive in yourself. These pills don't control you.. YOU DO.. So start acting like it and you will be so proud of what you are!
