pleez help me with these question x

1) girls tend to have a larger proportion of fat in their bodies than boys. What does this suggest about the metabolic rates of girls and boys with similar body masses, assuming that they take similar amounts of exercise.


2) A persons metabolic rate is affected by the proportion of muscle to body fat. The more muscle the greater the metabolic rate. At what age do you think boys metabolic rate would be the greatest?explain your answer

1. The metabolic rate of the girls is slower than that of the boys.

2. Around 13/15 when the growth spurt occurs. Boys are typically very thin and growing very rapidly. There metabolism goes crazy to keep up.
