I currently use a Razr phone (and love it), but am considering switching to a PDA phone (I also use an Ipaq PDA and it would be nice to have it all in one place).
First of all, my criteria:
I'm a cheap you-know-what, so I'm not looking to spend a lot on the phone. I'm currently with Cingular and don't think I'm going to be able to find a better rate out there (I think $40 a month for 400 minutes my wife and I share), so I'm inclined to stay with them but my contract will be up soon and would consider switching if the price were right.
The main reason I love my Razr is because of it's size and have gotten REALLY used to not having to wear my phone on my belt. I'd really like one that will fit in my pocket.
I've got some software for my Ipaq (Laridian Bible reader) that I'd like to carry over if I end up switching, but I'm thinking that won't be too likely no matter what I get.
Since I've been using the Ipaq, I'd perfer to stick with Windows Mobile if all other things are equal, but am not opposed to switching as long as I still have the functionality of using Excel spreadsheets on the device.
I'd love to have a GPS turn-by-turn type of system, but that's not a must.
I'm not sure I want to pay the extra $20 a month for the data package, so my internet use would probably be limited to checking my Yahoo email occasionally (and maybe my fantasy team on yahoo).
Now, my choices - from looking at Cingular's site, these are the phones I'd consider. Based on my criteria, I'd like to hear from those who have used them what the pros and cons are, and what you think the best bet would be:
Cingular 8125
Nokia E62
Samsung Blackjack
Any feedback would be appreciated.
