...Code? Ok I have a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback with the 6disk changer and the Bose system. I went to change out the battery for a new one and did so. I go back turn the car on and now my Stereo wont turn on. There is power too it but it wont turn on or show any display. Is this a Mazda thing that needs a code to turn it back on?
Also there are no codes in the book that came with the car, no stickers anywhere.
 
most manufacturers have it in the back of your audio manual or see if there is paper work in the wallet you got with the car that will have it printed on it it should be a 4 digit number
 
Yes it sounds like you need a code,you will probably need to go to the dealership to get the code and they will most likely charge a fee for this.
You can also look in the owners manual and the code may be written in there some where.
