I have an 01 GSXR 750 that will not run after a quick ride or if I even ride for quick burst over 100 MPH. It seems that the bike is having to receive all power from the battery and it dies a short time after. Has anyone else ever had this problem??? Im thinking maybe the voltage regulator is bad as the battery is brand new. I wont pretend to knw the mechanical side of bikes so I really need some help, I am not sure if these bikes have altenators or not but that could be a problem also. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have been in Southern Cali for three months and havent been riding yet!!

So are you jump-starting it or what? You didn't say how you get it restarted. Bikes don't have alternators, but they have generators that serve the same function. They're built into the side of the engine.

It will jump after it dies and that only last for awhile, I once had to jump it several times just to make it home. Normally I throw the battery on a trickle charge and it starts right up only to die again.

Well I put the bike in the shop and from what they sya the stator is bad and needs to be replaced to a tune of 370.00 bucks which included a 70.00 dolllar diagnose fee. My question is do any of you now if this is reasonable, from what I can see the part runs about 150 bucks. Let me know if this is a good round about price to have it fixed.
