Clearly these people have no idea what they are talking about.

The answers are:
1. A - The purpose of the NUL was to provide Negro (apparently Y!A doesn't let you say "knee-grow" for some strange reason) men and women with jobs during the boom and bust years of the roaring 20's and the Great Depression. To this day, they still are large advocates of civil rights, they just don't have to push as hard to get African Americans into the work force because of racial inequalities. Their main focus now tends to be African American children and young adults, preparing them for college and entering the workforce.

2. B - Kennedy commissioned the Apollo Space Program with the sole goal of landing a man on the moon.

3. D - Lee Harvey Oswald was declared the "lone assassin" in the assassination of President Kennedy.

4. B - Before this act, there were national-origin quotas for immigrants coming to America. Once those quotas were filled, there were no more immigrants from those particular countries allowed visas into the United States. Rep. Emanuel Cellar introduced this bill and it was passed pretty unanimously in both the House and the Senate.
 
I would tell your teacher that you couldnt find your answers becaus eyou accidently left your book home and tell them right away, At the beginning of the period. They dont seem to get as mad when you tell them right away! I REALLY hope that helps!
