Hey everyone! Hope this finRAB all of you healthy. I have been sober for 7 months at the end of July from opiates. What a journey it has been. I see some of my old frienRAB still on here. I am so sorry I haven't been on here. When I quit using, I decided it was best for me to not come to this board, so that I could concentrate on getting better. It seemed like every time I was on these boarRAB, I was thinking about the fact that I was no longer using, and it felt like it was taking me away from what was important: my sobriety! I hope you all know how grateful I am to you for helping me.

I just want everyone to know that it is possible to quit using opiates. I used a slow taper schedule to quit with my doctors help, and it worked very well for me. I know that each person is different and we all have to figure out what works for us. Keep the faith and know that you are all good people and that you deserve to be healthy and happy. MY GIRL!!!!!!! Oh, how I have missed you! I am so PROUD of you! 7 months! What a journey huh? I am so glad to hear you are doing so good and that life seems to be treating you well.

Gosh 7 months already.... Where did that time go. One moment it felt like each minute lasted 24 hours and the next the days turned into months.

I am just so happy for you!!!!! May this message find you healthy and happy my dear friend!

Hey TaCot! Good to see you back. Glad to hear you are doing well. Taking a break from the board to concentrate on your sobriety is a good thing and we all understand your point. I'm just glad to see that you are doing well. Congratulations!!
 
Thank you both very much. I truly hope that you are doing well. I think it is awesome how both of you can continue to help people on this board. You are more important than you know. There is a special place in heaven for those who help people, and you both have definately done that.
 
Hi TaCot! Your experience is very inspirational for those of us who have just started on this wagon. I completely understand your reasons for not visiting. It's kind of like the reason I never went to NA meetings after I got off heroin/methadone 30 years ago. I wanted to turn the corner, become a new person and not have any reminders of my old life. And I did....until I was prescribed Perc for pain six years ago. Oh well....everyone has to deal with this in his/her own way. Congratulations, and thank you for letting us know how wonderfully you're doing!
