I f there's a more spectacular movie released this year, I'll be amazed.
The OTT F/X and production design are truly astonishing and Ron Perlman, made up to look like a bright red George Clooney crossed with Ted Danson, is brilliant.
Just as well, because the dialogue is tin-eared and woefully underwritten, Selma Blair wears the same miserable expression throughout and Jeffrey Tambor is wasted.
It's easy to see which aspects GdT is most interested in and it's a shame the script isn't one of them.
Eyes wide open, fingers in ears and prepare to be dazzled.:cool:
 
This seems to be a much bigger release than the first film but i dont understand why as the first film was hardly a huge hit. It did ok i think but why is the new one a big summer blockbuster? I cant even remember the first film but i am going to give it a try. The first hellboy is on Five tomorrow night. Then i may go and see Hellboy 2.
