I'm trying to understand Hegel's philosophical relationship to Marx, obviously along the lines of their respective dialectics.
However, I only very loosely aware of Hegel's philosophy, and am very new to Marx's (at least in terms of its ideological roots, not its tenets).
So what I am asking for is a brief summary of Hegel's philosophy (I realize this may be hard!) with particular emphasis on points that Marx may have stemmed from. I want something to look forward to while I'm reading -- I want to know what it is I am aiming for.
I only ask that you answer ONLY if you feel you have a pretty firm understanding of it yourself.. I do not want loose interpretations!
Thanks, I greatly appreciate the help!
