Heath Legendary

If you want to know how stupid someone is in the course of any debate regarding Heath Ledger just examine their posts for references to gay Brokeback jokes or a blanket assertion of trendiness. If you find either of these lame give aways of retardation, well friend, you have found a retard.

He was a really good actor tho'. Regardless of characters, seems like every movie (including shitty ones) he was in, he dedicated himself totally to the role, just like Bale does.

If PSH wasn't on completely other level with Capote, then Ledger would've easily won oscars in 06. That was a tough role if you think about it.

i dont think he dedicated himself to every role he was in. I mean, a knights tale, the order, casanova, candy, 10 things i hate about you. these are all just roles he phoned in. He was great twice, brokeback and TDK. He was good to very good twice monsters ball and ned kelly. and just average to pretty good in the other 10 or so movies hes been in.

no, casanova and candy were both after brokeback...and they were both just serviceable performances. Nothing spectacular

edit: and lords of dogtown and brothers grimm. same time as brokeback. Both very average

The Joker is a charater that has been in American Folkore for what a half a century? How many times has DC's Joker been played in cartoons, tv shows and movies though the years?

None of them come close to as good as Nolans and Ledgers spinoff.

The peformance was legendary.

don't get me wrong, i thoroughly enjoyed the movie as a whole and Ledger did do a good job. I just think 'legendary' is a bit much though. I had heard all the hype before I saw the movie yesterday and felt a bit let down by the end.

I always think of him in Lords of Dogtown. Average movie (and that's being generous) but he was almost unrecognizable in it. The guy was a chameleon with the right role and director.

ok, I agree, not every role, but every role that's directed by a good director, he's usually excellent, def more than 2. He was actually the only decent thing in 10 things...

i wonder if he was alive would there have been this much hype? I think of the hype is the death of ledger and last movie he did. i mean i have to say he did do an outstanding performance.
