Heath Ledger's family plans to take his Oscar??!!?

That's the headline in the LA Times today! I mean, are they so sure he will get the Oscar? I thought we all had to wait until Oscar night to find out.I think it is terrible that he died so prematurily in such a manner, but that no reason to give him an Oscar.

i thought it seemed bad how so many people were saying he deserved it and in other years when someone hasn't been dead in the running no one gave that much support to anyone. this is about acting right?
