heater condinsor is bad on a 01 dodge ram 5.2l?

when i turn on my heat it blows out like smoke but like dust also....put it this way...what ever it is it will run your ass out of there...I pulled my carpet back on the passanger side and there is like a oil based anitfreeze...i thought it was the heater core..but some one i took it to a shop an they told me that is was a heater condinsor the thing that sits right next to the heater core..an they said to fix it the HOLE dash has to come out...is it something i might be able to fix in my gaurge or let the pros do it..???the truck is a 2001 dodge ram 5.2L 318 2wd....thanks
