Here's the situation... Last winter my heat worked, but it took a while to kick in. This winter it worked in the beginning but start getting colder. At first it was where it would eventually heat up if I kept the fan/heat on low but when I turn it up, it would then start to blow some more cold air. Now after flushing the heating lines and the heater core, it only blows cold air. I've never had problems with my engine overheating.
