Heart Burn/Fever?

About a month ago, I ate a large burrito laid down for a few hours, went to bed and had heartburn the next morning for the first time in my life. That afternoon I started to have symptoms of a mild fever(i.e. achy joints, sensitive to pain, ect.). The next day my fever feeling(I hadn't ever actually taken my temperature) was gone and my heartburn was greatly reduced. My heartburn continued to get better over the next two weeks until I had another flare up like the first(heartburn and mild fever feeling come on suddenly and then reduce). Around two weeks went by again and then last Thursday the heart burn came back and has been pretty much persistent ever since. I had the mild fever feeling on Friday was fine in that respect on Saturday but then I have the fever feeling again today(pretty strongly this time).

I know this sounds like typical heartburn issues except for the heartburn being correlated with the mild fever. I am pretty sure it is heartburn as lying down, sharp movements, large meals, burping, ect. hurt. There is also pain when I take a deep breath that feels like your lungs do after hard exercise, but I am assuming that is just added pressure irritating the heartburn. Again I don't have a thermometer so I am not sure I actually have a fever but I definitely feel that way.

I have heard of heart burn causing lung infections, but I don't get the idea that is the case as the fever comes with the heartburn only and I have not been coughing at all. I know this is a relatively small problem compared with a lot of other post, but does anyone have any idea what this might be? I am a 22 year old male by the way, who is in good health otherwise. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

If anyone comes across this thread and is curious my symptoms were actually that of pericarditis, an inflammation of the lining of the heart.
