I am in the midst of choosing which pair of headphones to buy...am looking for a strong, crisp bass sound, clear mids, and nice treble without any clipping. I am also very picky when it comes to durability, and I heard that the Philips SHL's leather ear cushions are less prone to wear and tear due to sweat and continuous wear as compared to the synthetic ear cushions used by Sennheiser. Philips also has a better frequency response (15 Hz to 24 kHz) compared to the HD 408 (25 Hz - 21 kHz) and HD 418 (20 Hz - 20 kHz), but the Sennheiser headphones are known for their great bass quality and noise-canceling technology. Which, in your opinion, should I choose?
Heaphones: Sennheiser HD 408, Sennheiser HD 418, or Philips SHL 8800?
