Healthcare reform, financial reform, immigration reform: Is there anything else...

...that the GOP doesn't hate? When it comes to Obama?

They wanted Obama to "start over" on health care reform.

The bill gets passed into law.

The GOP and their allies spend the weeks following filling the airwaves with lies, hatred, and misinformation about the bill--in their attempt to widen the divide in this country and portray both Obama and the Democrats as "wrong" on health care.

Now that Obama is taking on financial reform (one of his campaign promises), the GOP--particularly Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky)--is demanding that Obama "starts over" on financial reform; even though there hasn't been a solid plan yet!

And immigration reform? Well, the odd thing is, most Republicans (including John McCain) are *against* bringing about comprehensive immigration reform--even though their party has supported such measures in the past. (It's on the record.)

So why the hate? If reform is what this country desperately needs now, how come the Republicans haven't offered up comprehensive plans of their own which deals with our nation's health care problems, financial issues, and immigration concerns?

Saying "No!" to everything--even before things come to the table--is a bit self-defeating if you ask me.

Such attitudes just makes it harder for things to come to fruition and makes our government look even more incompetent because one party simply doesn't want to participate in anything that is brought forward--leaving the other party in a lurch. (Just because it is no longer in control of Congress or the White House.)

Oddly enough, it was John Bohner and Mitch McConnell whom *begged* the Democrats to go along with the Republican majority to get the TARP funds passed by George Bush--back in September of 2008; to avoid a bigger free fall than the one experienced in the months following.

Why no mention of that now?
