Health Insurance: What does Blue Cross Blue Shield consider pre-existing?

I have Cigna healthcare as of right now and my full time job is getting new insurance. Either United Healthcare or BCBS of Nebraska.
I had a pap today and I'm needing a laprascopy done to diagnose all the pain I'm having, will the new insurance cover this procedure? Will either of them?
