To start with my son is a happy healthy 9 month old he weighs slightly above the line he should but he is a very tall baby so makes sense. He got a cold about a month and a half ago and went of his eating and now he is a fussy eater not liking the savory foods i give him. So his diet mainly consists of Milk baby rice and different fruits he also munches on toast which i've been told is ok as they only really need milk for 1st 12 months..well
i went to my health visitor yesterday to get him weighed and as mentioned he is above the line( not by much a healthy weight for his size), i mentioned his eating habits and him not wanting to try new foods, she seemed shocked that i hadnt given him chips to chew on and even suggested i give him crisps to suck on!!! a few other foods she suggested to me were fish fingers and baked beans!! Hes 9 months old i dont even let my 3 year old have crisps! I said that i dont like them having that food because of the salt in them and she said the amount he'd be eating wouldnt make a difference. At a time when all over the papers is storys of obese kids and healthy eating and i getting told to feed my healthy son junk food!!
sorry to go on i just think this is ridiculous
