Headset for Nokia N80 that works?

Hi, I did a few searches but can't find anything.

I have a Nokia N80 and a Jabra BT250V and also a Jabra BT250 and neither headset will work propertly w/ the N80. The BT250v will work with it sometimes, rarely.

Any recommenedations for a bluetooth headset that will work reliably w/ an N80?

I really wanted to stick w/ this form-factor

because many bt headsets hurt my ear. But I am not sure what my options are.

Try the Nokia BH-800 or the new BH-801...
bluetooth 2.0 and one of the most nicest looking headset in my opinion....you can wear it like a necklace when not using it and it is very small.

Here is a pic of the BH-800 while wearing it as a necklace:

Is this a known problem that the N80 doesn't work well with bluetooth headsets? I ask because I've been having some problems with my Jabra JX-10.

Just check compatibility with the manufacturer, but from what i remembered from the time i had the n80 it worked fine with headsets, so not sure what is happening with your n80.

I use the BT250v as well as a SE HBH-IV835.. both of them work fine...I actually like the jabra better because it connect automatically...the SE seems to have issues and I have to manually connect it. As far as the OP wanting to stay w/ the same form factor of the 250...lemme know if you find something close, cuz I havnt.

Huh, that's weird that some of you have used the same Jabra headset as me w/ no problems. I have the bt250v and hubby has the bt250 and neither will work. My bt250v worked for a little while but then quit. The phone thinks it's connected but you don't hear anything through it. Some days it works and some days (most days) it doesn't. Will have to think what to do...

Wirelessly posted (Nokia N80: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)

My N80 works fine with an older Nokia HS-36W headset.

I decided to get the Nokia BH800 one. We recently checked my firmware and it was up to date. I was going to order the BH800 online and overnight it, but I got lucky and a local store had it in stock. I'm stoked. It's so tiny.

I had been told buy some guy at Cingular earlier this year that in general, if you match brands w/ your phone and headset, you'll get the best performance. He couldn't get any headset to work right w/ his sony ericsson until he bought a sony headset. Not sure if this is common. I know some people have had fine luck using Jabras w/ the N80. My Jabra worked for a while but never reliably.

But anyway, so I got the BH800 yesterday and it worked right away. I haven't extensively tested it yet but I hope to do that today. I had no idea how tiny it was. From the picture I figured it was big and bulky like many are, but wow, this thing is miniscule.

Thanks for all the ideas and feedback.

Please post a mini-review here after you test your new BH-800. I'm thinking of upgrading to a new Nokia BT headset and your mini-review would help me make a decision. I'm also thinking of BH-900.
