Headlight Bulb in 2001 Dodge Dakota?

I bought the the sylvania silverstar headlight bulbs for my truck a couple days ago. I installed them and they work but they only shine about 10 ft. in front of my truck. I even put my high beams on and its still really hard to see. I read reviews about the bulbs and all i read was about how great and far you could see with them in. Can someone help me please???
 
if you havent messed with the head light adjustment on it they should shine out a lot farther than that ,i got them in my truck and car and they light the road up real well,you may have to adjust them some,be sure and check to see that the bright lights are actually coming on when you turn them on,try adjusting them some because normally they do a lot better than stock bulbs,good luck.
