Hi there - Im currently eyeing out headers on ebay:

will these fit onto vortec heads? it indicates older years - are they incompatible? ie will older headers not fit on vortec heads? I dont want to buy them and then they dont fit and or the ports dont line up/match properly.
Also do longer style headers improve street performance? i see there are some shorter ones that drop downwards - compared to the ones that bend and face backwards toward the rear of the car - or is it indifferent?
