I have been waking with a light headache most mornings for the past few months. Across my forehead, mostly it's in the centre. I also have had dry, tired eyes, and period of low energy. The only medication i am taking is Noriday birth control pill, i am 25 yrs old. The pill was prescribed in 2007 but doesnt expire until 2011, i havent taken it for two yrs and just started again this year, because i had so many left i didnt go back to the doctor to get a new prescription. Could this be the cause or could it be something else? I sometimes feel unsteady on my feet, a bit 'out of it', and like my thought processes are slow. I have had quite tight muscles in my neck and upper back which i wonder if they could be giving me the tension headache feeling? Could that cause any other symptoms that im experiencing?

I also had quite a long lasting flu/cough back in July but that shouldnt be lingering still could it? (thinking sinuses) I started a waitressing job in July with late nights, so sleep pattern has been altered but am still sleeping quite well. I started taking multi vitamins and vitamin c two months ago.
I am sick of feeling tired and not 100%.

Znky: Low energy and fatigue are symptoms of low thyroid. They're also symptoms of diabetes too. The dry eyes is a symptom of estrogen dominance and hormonal issues. Because you mentioned the BCP I'd say you need to see your gyno and get your levels checked. Tell him what's going on. If you were feeling better before starting to take the BCP again then that's what is probably making you feel like you do.

I didnt get dry eyes from this pill before, do you think i should stop taking them or is it harmless -im using eyedrops. I just cant get to the doctor for a few weeks to sort this out. Keep thinking it will just get better, i just need more sleep or vitamins etc.
Am going to get a back/neck massage to see if that eases the headaches, and stop taking the pill in a week to see if that improves anything. If not off to the doctor.

Znky: Wait until you see the doctor before stopping the BCP's again. Dry eyes can also be caused by dry air in the house this time of year with the heat on. Put a humidifier on or boil some hot water on the stove and get some moisture in the house. Watch out for your car too with the vents blowing on you. See if you can get to a chiropractor and get your neck cracked. Sometimes that helps loosen up the tendons and muscles and give relief. A massage is also a good idea.

ok thanks, it could well be the heating too. I am more worried about the tiredness and feeling out of it sometimes, although once i get to work and get moving i feel ok. oh the body is a complicated thing!
