HD Touring - Wow! Great Ride!

Have had my 2010 RK for a week now and have put 650 miles plus on so far.
What an absolutely great ride these touring bikes are. I added a Sundowner
seat and backrest and road pegs. I feel as though I could ride this bike all day. You guys were right about the Sundowner seat.

I have had two previous HD's a 06Softail and an 09VRSCAW they were both
hot rod's and fast but do not compare at all with the ride of the RK.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the touring experience from you folks. Thanks for the helpful info so far.

I had a Fatboy before my current Street Glide. Loved the Fatboy but it was nowhere close to the tourer in the comfort of the ride. You may think I'm crazy but I swear (my opinion) the touring bikes will out handle the softails. Well at least the newer frame tourers , '09 through '11's.

Hoping early October...up in the air now...Military Sales is saying date of delivery is mid December but order is supposedly at factory now so I can't imagine it taking that long!

I agree on the handling point. Had an 09VRSCAW and a 06 SoftailCustom
and I think it is easier in the handling than either of those. The V was always
a handful!

Same here. Traded in on 07 Heritage earlier this year for a 10 Ultra. Never dreamed an Ultra Classis could out handle a heritage but it does.
