Having Trouble With R4 Games?

Whenever I try to download the rather new DS games, such as The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, there's always some kind of glitch in the game that doesn't let me proceed. Is it because my R4 is outdated? I don't have the box it came in, but what it says on the card is:
R4
Revolution for DS
(NDSL/NDS)

If the reason is because mine is outdated, then I'd love to know the name of the latest version.

it is not beacuse it is out dated, it is just because either all of the kinks arent worked out yet or its some anti piracy thingy
but a patch should be out to fix it soon :)
