Having trouble straightening my arm after working out?

Went to the gym about 3 days ago, for the first time in a few weeks and obviously over worked myself. The next morning i couldn't move my arms to more than a 90 degree angle without a pretty sharp pain. The pain is coming from the inside part of the elbow. I've never experienced this before. I was thinking it was just a case of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) or a buildup of lactic acid but its now been 3 days now. I'm just curious what advice you might have, what you may think the cause is, and how long it might last. Thanks!!
