question. ATT 'only' has 1 DVR? There is a 'problem' with ATT's single DVR environment, although it has a lot of advantages over systems that can not consolidate recordings to a single machine. I give ATT congrats for accomplishing this architecture. However, when one wants to 'share' a signal, but NOT share the same recording device, ATT appears to have build in restrictions to their architecture (at least when you talk to their techs) that will prevent someone from using a personal DVR/Tivo/VCR device, as the original question asks. Having more 'experience' on this would be good discussion.
