Having sharp elbow tip pain after fall, but no soreness or bruising?

16 days ago I slipped on dog pee in the kitchen when I was walking a bit fast to get outside. I fell directly on my back, and only my left elbow hit the ground. I had the freshly hit elbow pain for about 10 minutes then it subsided. The initial pain felt like any time you fall and hit yourself on anything, it was no too sharp. It's been 16 days now, and my elbow still gets shooting pain if I hit the tip of it on anything, or rest the tip of my elbow on anything. I can move around, play flag football, and use my arm without pain, but if I even touch the elbow on any hard surface, or even trying to turn over in bed, it gives me tremendous pain for about 5-10 seconds, then goes away like it was normal. The quicker I hit my elbow, the sharper the pain. The part that confuses me is I never bruised at all, and I've been able to use my arm the entire 16 days without pain. It's only when touched on the tip of the elbow that it bothers me. My dad who has some medical knowledge thinks I probably just chipped it, and it will heal over time. I've tried Googling it but with no luck. I am really trying to avoid driving 42 miles and 20$ co-pay to see a doctor if they are just going to tell me to ice it. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? I can give additional information if needed. If you do have knowledge, how can I help it heal?

Thank you!
