Having LG enV 3 issues?

I have had my LG enV 3 since December 3, 2009. It's now almost April, and I'm starting to notice one problem in particular. A couple of times when I have removed the phone from my pocket, it's been turned off. Now, this could be because my leg pressed some buttons by accident, which would simply be resolved by locking the phone...right?

Well...that's not the only instance of this happening.

I was just making a call to vote for American Idol (NO COMMENTS ABOUT THAT PLEASE) and mid-call attempt (literally meaning I had just hit "send" on the phone to place a call) the phone shut off. Now, I'm a stickler for having the battery charged at all times -- meaning if it's not on my person, it's on the charger -- so I know it is not low battery issues. The saleslady at the Verizon store did warn me that if I had too much memory usage on the phone being used, it could cause the phone to turn off. However, I check this religiously and keep my pictures limited, and I have 250 texts a month so I am not unlimited in my texting either, and barely 1/4 of the memory has been used.

Should I go take the phone back to the store and explain my story, or is there something I can do without having to make that trip? (Our nearest store is at least an hour away)

Thanks!
