having a pet in a no pet allowed apartment please help!!?

I'm moving to an apartment in 2 days and i have 2 bearded dragons... there are no pets allowed BUT my landlord said its fine because they are in a tank.. should i get it in writing that he's said I can have them? just in case he decides to be an *** (which he can be ha ha ) and says he didn't say that or something? or should i just not worry about it ? plz help.. thanks
