Having a bike in NYC. Where do I store it?

Hi all, I live in NYC in a very small apartment and my room is very small too. My landlord doesn't allow us to store anything outside.
I was planning on buying a bike because I really like riding bikes but I don't know where I'm going to store it. Any suggestions?
